Dwayne Lane's Skagit Subaru
Had the best car buying experience ever! After having a poor buying experience at a different Subaru dealership. Seth Strong made up for it with his amazing customer service. With actually working with my requests and I drove off the lot with a even nicer car than I expected at an amazing price. I will be taking all of my car business to Seth Strong in the future. I highly recommend getting an appointment with him because he knows how to take care of his customers.
We’ve had an overall good experience with Dwayne Lanes in the past. This review is just a comment on their phone system. I called today with the intention of scheduling service and after working through their phone tree all I got was a recording saying “no one is available to take your call” and an option to leave a message but nothing about when or if anyone would ever call me back. I tried calling the parts department, since they’re right next to the service department, and got the same message. I called Sales and finally did get a person who informed me Parts and Service were our for the holidays. What I found annoying was including that little tidbit of info in their phone message would have saved me two other calls. Sure, it didn’t take me that long to make two more calls but it was a waste of my time, its almost like they were intentionally being obtuse. I find it particularly annoying when someone makes me work for information that should have been shared up front.
Honestly, I wish I could give them zero stars. I went in today to get my check engine light that had turned on figured out. On a car I just bought from them 4 months ago.(which I’m supposed to still have a warranty with).I waited for 2 hours without hearing a word from anybody. The man at the service desk didnt even have the decency to come and apologize for it taking so long. After I went over to him and asked what was taking so long all he said was I’ll go check on it. 35 minutes later, he comes and tells me that to fix my car it’ll be $1000(which was all engine related) on top of the $120 they wanted me to pay for pretty much just having to sit in their lobby for 3 hours. The man went and talked to the sales department since the problems “weren’t covered under warranty” and Nothing happened. I thought that a car being under warranty was supposed to mean something? But apperantly not to theses people. I would NOT recommend going to them AT ALL!!! They are very rude and not willing to help you the way you need to be helped.
Very impressed with the service department! Took my STI in for an oil change, they found a screw in two of my tires, removed, patched, and reinstalled them with no upcharge. Also, it may be common for other dealerships to spray down your car, but these guys cleaned the brake dust off my rims and cleaned the interior as well. All of this was done in less than 2 hours and they provided a free shuttle to wherever I chose to wait. They surely earned a repeat customer and I would highly recommend them to any other Subie owner.
John at the service desk is awesome as is the rest of the crew, the service techs are spot on with diagnostic and won't lead you astray. I am proud to b a part of Dwayne Lane's Skagit Subaru again...way to go guys and gal's!!
