Great food from gyros, Indian and pizza to gator po boys. Plenty of wares and supplies fitting of a beach community. The fresh fruits, veggies and flowers can't be beat. There is live music, lots of people and a very welcome atmosphere. Parking is hard to find but worth the struggle.
Be sure to check out the array of local, organic produce, small businesses, and other vendors. There's live performances at the west end of Newport ave too! My favorite stops include GreenFix for organic juice/smoothies, the gals slangin' the best gluten-free & vegan pastries (wish I could remember their company name), plants, herbs, curry, honey, you name it. Solid people watching and lovey sunsets. OB market never disappoints.

Fun to photograph people and things around food of all kinds or just go to java hut and watch the people go by
I was told that Every Wednesday this goes on, tried things from hummus to something with bbq brisket, pork, and something else topped with a scope of mashed potatoes on top.. whatever it was it was VERY GOOD
The perfect beach front bar hangout. Awesome atmosphere, views and great vibes. Sunset cheers from friendly Ocean Beach.
