Diablo Valley Farmers' Market
Saturdays, 9AM - 1PM
Location: North Wiget Lane and Mitchell Drive, Walnut Creek, CA 94598
A good variety of different fresh fruits and vegetables year round. There are vendors that sell baked goods, meats, cheeses and a local supplier of some really unique mushrooms. Bring knives and have them sharpened while you walk around.
Love this farmer's market!! Love the location--Kaiser parking lot--since it is easy to park. Love the vendors that come--nothing too flashy or fancy. Love the prices--more reasonable compared to downtown Walnut Creek, Danville or Alamo. Love the size--not too big, not too small. Good mix of lovely fruits, vegetable and good eats. Also love the fact that it takes place on a Saturday, rather than a Sunday--you can shop for your weekend feasts!! Recently I even observed a group cooking class being conducted in an enclosed tent--a new addition perhaps. Live music and activities for kids make it perfect for a family outing.
A very strong farmer's market. I love getting a cup of great coffee & a pastry, then shopping for fresh fruits and vegetables. The prepared food stalls are also excellent.
As a grain and dairy free eater, I can get all of my food shopping for the week done here. Fantastic produce including fresh local mushrooms and an amazing array of organic and conventional seasonal fruits and vegetables as well as eggs, nuts, meat, oils, sauces, jams, juicea, kombucha and even chocolate! There are at least two bakeries as well.
This farmer's market is smaller than some others such as the one in Walnut Creek, but I can typically find the seasonal fruit and vegetables I'm looking for along with a few other items such as a chocolate vendor, plants and other items. The parking is great since the market is in a parking lot. I've never had an issue finding a place to park even during the busiest summer months.
